Thursday, April 13th..T minus 2 days to liftoff....had great rehearsal last night...ran over many tunes...some we didn't have to but did anyway...everyone upbeat and ready to rock the house...the Village has always been the home base for the band...we're just excited as all get out to take the stage...all preparations are in order...doors may open a little earlier than 9 pm to accomodate the huge throng of fans coming to this sold out show...just got a call from a gal in California who desprately needs two more tickets...I met her mother (mid 70's) at Stan's Record Bar last week...she was standing behind me as I was talking to the store manage and telling him the show was pretty much sold out...she overheard me and grabbed my arm and said "you must understand, I really need two tickets. My daughter is flying in from California and the only time I see her is when you are playing at the Village!"...how could I refuse that one!! Back tomorrow with more. Zero signing out.

Can't wait to hear you guys Saturday night...feeling like a real heathen...out late before Easter Sunday! Oh well, just wanted to say that the SHARK VIBE must be working overtime, becuse I had no idea that you guys would be doing a reunion show and just happened to google the band's name and scored some of the last tickets from Stan's Record Bar...I was a Baltimore Sharks Fan, used to work at Girard's as a cocktail waitress and on off nights would still come back to dance with the Sharks. The Sharks were a guaranteed "good night" for tips becuse you would pack the house. Then to top it all you guys would be nice enough to drop me at my apartment door so that I would not get mugged walking home at 2 am with pockets full of tip money!
Thanks guys...see you Saturday and remember folks ..tip your servers at the Village!

Zero signing in again...It's 3:40 pm....tried to leave the house today to work but could only get an hour in since my phone is ringing constantly with messages pleading for tickets...one was from a girl who said she was coming from Reading with a friend from NYC who was the band hairdresser!...I'm wondering how these people got my home phone number?...that's it, I'm moving to Mexico!

Zero at 1:35 am...just got back from gigging with Shea and the Luv Gods at Doc Holliday's in New Cumberland...had some folks show up just to lean on me for tickets or a way to get in..."just let me in the side door" or "say that I'm your cousin"...man, they're coming up with some good ones.

Zero at 4pm Friday....talked to folks at the Village today and decided to announce that there won't be any tickets for sale at the door...the only way to get in is if someone leaves...that's wild!!

Zero signing in at 1:40 pm Saturday....just bought deck plywood for drum riser...stopped in at Stan's Record Bar to thank Mark for selling tickets...he said he's gotten at least 200 phone calls about tickets...another fan came in from Kansas City to thank him for Fed Ex-ing his ticket to him...this is going to be nuts!!! Village is going to try to open up the doors at 8:15 pm

As far as getting in when people leave... I'm sure if you show up late (midnight) you will get in. The last few "reunions" thinned out because I guess old people get tired or need to get home for the babysitter. Of course those were also on Thanksgiving night so maybe the turkey kicked in.

I know I will have one extra ticket to sell, someone that was coming along had a family emergency and cannot come now. We were planning on getting there around 9:00.

Zero at 10 am Sunday, April 16th...woke up smelling like an ashtray but couldn't get out of my mind's eye the memory of around 900 people (and well behaved I might add)enjoying and experiencing a reunion of music, friends and acquaintances that is so very unique and positive. There wasn't one fight or domestic argument to be found. No upchucking or elbowing. No name calling or verbal abuse. Just plain fun which is the goal of The Sharks. We thank all of you who came, watched and tried to dance. We need to do this on a regular basis. Hope to see many of you in Harrisburg at the Dragonfly on June 16th. Then we're off for a while perhaps (we're hoping) to record some new stuff and have some more fun!!! Thanks again!!!

Zero and the Sharks, thanks for a great night. Clean Clean was a perfect open and the whole first set just blew us away, the Sharks originals still hold thier own after all these years, On My Own was better than ever and when the boys sang "you make me YEARN...." well that about did me in. At 41, I found myself back at 21 again and your love for the music and for the fans carried us all there, not back so much, but forward with the feeling that only comes from living long enough to recognize that we all lived in a great time for live music and witnessed the MTV transition...you guys are the best of both worlds. Sammy, your voice is better than ever man and Dougie, hearing you was like laying down on the tracks with a freight train coming! You all made the night so memorable and I only hope that you take what you got last night from us and make more great music to carry us all on that much farther. Shea so cool to talk with you even for a minute or two it was cool to see you swimmin with the Sharks!Glad I could shake your long term memory a bit..you sure got me to shake mine!

Zero reportiing in on Thurs. April 20th....Dragonfly show is on and tickets on sale at www.ticketweb.com...I'm sure everyone is still recovering from last weekend....I was so busy with CD's, drum riser, tickets, money, rehearsals, set lists, merchandising, crew, people who wanted to be my 2nd cousin just so they could get in....meeting old friends, trying to remember guitar parts (and forgetting some)that Saturday night became a blur...It's cool though because that's the way I'm wired...many thanks to Doug for website work, t-shirts, making it to rehearsals; Marko for being the tech guru; Sam for selling 145 tickets; Shea for coming down from H-burg for rehearsals (we need more!);Chip and Rob for being the best crew anyone could hope for; Rit for mixing; Bob for excellant equipment; Lisa for being in the trenches for merchandise; my neighbors for band security; Gus and the Village co-owners for allowing us to invade their club; and all of our fans who came from far and wide to step into that wonderous world of 80's music. It's great isn't it?

Not near the Metron. Dragonfly is downtown Harrisburg. You'll have to pay to park, unless you like to walk then you can find a no charge place.

Zero here on D-fly show: Huge thanks to all who (a) came the show (b)worked the show (c) those who had honest intentions of coming to the show (everything counts here). The band was "on" due to a great sound check. Crowd was real attentive. One great comment is that we were "relentless" in the number of tunes and the production- i.e. sound/lights. I agree and will look forward to the next show sometime after August (don't know exactly when) Over and out for now.

Dear Sharks:

Thank you so much for playing at Tom Sawyers! What a wonderful suprise and treat! Although I suppose I shouldn't be surprised because you, as a group and singly have donated many many shows to many many charities thanks for thinking of the rest of us. Perhaps this was our Festive-us

You have said there is new song ready to go and another one in the works. Why didn't you play them? I really enjoy your work (as a group and also individually) and I was saddened not to have experienced it.

Be good to each other

Memories...we are going to have fun..It not often that the staff (Village staff)truely looks forward to working but I can say we are always excited for this night! I have been there "bouncing" there for 28 plus years and next wednesday is my last night. I will consider this my "retirement party" even though I will be working. I couldn't think of a better way to go out. Remember when you played monday thru Saturday? Those truely were the best of times! Thanks guys. Mark
